 From the late ‘80s through the ‘90s, asbestos in buildings held the public’s attention. Many asbestos surveys were performed to identify asbestos in schools, and the public presumed that asbestos was banned from further manufacturing. This was not so, as the ban was overturned by the US Courts. OHST representatives have investigated residential, commercial, and government facilities for asbestos-containing building materials (ACBM) for more than 20-years. We know what to look for and where to look for it. Our evaluations identify if the client has ACBM, the condition of the material (s), likelihood for disturbance, and best options for removing or managing the material (s) in-place.
